The Chinese Language Center of Soochow University is offering the “Learn Chinese Through Songs” course to promote diverse approaches to Chinese language learning. By integrating Chinese songs with language instruction, the course aims to enhance learners’ motivation and practical communication skills.
Course Information:
(1) Learn Chinese Through Songs
Dates: May 6 to May 27, 2026 (Wednesdays), totaling 8 hours
Time: 10:00–12:00
Location: Waishuangxi Campus, S Building (Fengya Academy), Soochow University
Course Description: This course uses Chinese songs as a medium for language learning. Based on lyrics content and vocabulary difficulty, classes are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The course includes song appreciation, lyric analysis, vocabulary instruction, and group singing practice. It also compares different singers’ pronunciation and articulation styles to improve learners’ listening, speaking skills, and language intuition.
Fee: NT$3,000 (10% discount for Soochow University students; external students receive a 10% discount for enrolling in the next session)
