[Notice Forwarding] National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) is hosting the "2026-2027 Global Chinese Reading Competition." Registration closes on November 27, 2026.

  • To promote overseas Chinese language education and enhance Chinese language learners' reading comprehension abilities and learning interest, NTNU's Chinese Language and Technology Research Center is holding the "2026-2027 Global Chinese Reading Competition." Utilizing online AI Chinese reading diagnostic tools and digital reading resources, the competition encourages global Chinese learners to cultivate continuous reading habits and improve their Chinese reading literacy.

  • Registration for this competition is free. Participants can engage in Chinese reading activities through the "SmartReading-Mandarin" system and receive the following learning resources and rewards:

    • (1) One DACC-M Chinese Reading Assessment and a personalized diagnostic report. The results of this assessment directly correspond to international proficiency standard tests (including the TOCFL).

    • (2) Access to a curated collection of Chinese e-books developed by NTNU's Chinese language team.

    • (3) A complete reading portfolio record and a digital certificate of completion.

    • (4) Outstanding performers will have the opportunity to receive a joint certificate of special distinction in both Chinese and English awarded by NTNU and the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC).

  • To benefit more overseas Chinese learners, we kindly request your assistance in forwarding this event information to local overseas Chinese schools, Chinese schools, Chinese language teaching institutions, and related educational groups. We encourage Chinese teachers to lead student groups in registering, and individual students are also welcome to register to jointly promote overseas Chinese reading education.
